Availability Update! April 2, 2008
Hi happy blog readers! Just a note – I limit the number of weddings I photograph each year to ensure my clients receive the best service and all my creative energies; I don’t book something every single weekend! I have about three dates remaining so if you are thinking about booking me for your wedding in 2008, please contact the studio as soon as you have your date!
What the Duck April 1, 2008
is a riotous cartoon about a duck who also happens to be a photographer. I read it daily and sometimes (well, most time) it is JUST so spot on. This morning’s cartoon:

Cass and Jacob March 27, 2008
I just adore small intimate weddings! Cass and Jacob had one of the smallest ones I have on the books so far for this year – and I was so delighted to be a part of it! Eleven people total including me, at the gorgeous Sixth and I Historic Synagogue.

Portraits for Two March 20, 2008
Josi was the winner of February’s portrait session giveaway and she choose to share her session with her partner Amy.
Thanks for braving the crazy crosswinds on the way to the island! There are lots more but you’ll have to come see me!

Another album ready to go to its new home! March 17, 2008

Melissa and Scott March 16, 2008
a quick preview from Melissa and Scott’s lovely wedding at the UVA chapel and reception at Keswick -I’m SOOO glad the forecasted storms held off until later in the evening! More later!

By the bridge March 11, 2008
Sometimes thing just don’t work out the way you want – I was already commissioned for their date when this couple found out about me. Nonetheless, I was thrilled to shoot an engagement session with them, and, as promised Alison, here’s a sneak peek!

Hope y’all had a great dinner and a safe drive back to Roanoke!
WPJA awards are out! March 8, 2008
WPJA is an association by and for wedding photojournalists. It’s one of the very few photography associations out there that actually is merit and style based for inclusion so I’m thrilled to be a part of the group. They hold annual competitions and it’s an amazing field of international photographers; just placing is an incredible honor! Lucky 13 seemed to be my number this time around and interestingly enough, both images were color images. Here are the two images and links to the actual award pages (click on the images)!
